Sweet Sherry was scared of the roar,
the steep steps and the sliding door.
Though the train was direct
each day she'd elect
to take buses for two dollars more.

though buses made travelin' sweet
she couldn't quite fit on the seat
so she had to stand
and hang by one hand
while passengers stepped on her feet

the reason she had twenty toes
and extra legs no one quite knows
her ma was a drunk
her pappy a skunk
the whole family was quite on the nose

No one knows
why certain cheeses
smell like toes;
are they hand-crafted by monks
or foot-shafted by skunks?

Hi, Chris Big Grin

How sweet a slice of moldy cheese,
it's fine blue veins are no disease.
Full flavor wrung
left on the tongue,
to share it kiss me, please.

Pucker up with fermented breath,
your moistened tongue,
it’s aged aftertaste.
Offer me those casein curds
your special whey.

Begone, you with fermented breath,
those 30-packs will bring on your death.
Steeped in every pore
you can't take much more,
Budweiser's as deadly as meth.

Buddy’s no wiser than old granddad;
they’re wild turkeys and drunk again,
their livers await the pathologist’s jar.

today I bought a scarf
of sinuous black silk
I imagine it knotting
your wrists to my bed
your eyes are back
in my dreams

secure again in your

taunt me with sharp pricks
of your eager quill;
tattoo dark desires

The lodger took 39 steps, he knew the lady who vanished, suspected her beyond a shadow of a doubt,
but was spellbound; this notorious stranger rode on a train to murder, was seen darkly through a rear window
just long enough to catch the thief, the murderer, before the vertigo set in, his mind somehow knew to point
north by northwest, to follow that lady, her psychotic birds crying Marnie!
