Invisible Man’s Mirror
#1
Shocked
“And so luxury
runs from me”
I say into my mirror
Another, “please”
Truth escapes like a
Christmas Wreath
Like an easter without eggs
A thanksgiving, no more turkey
Just find me by the side
Of downtown strays
Barking at polish,
And unnamed shoe
dressed in brown and beige
and saturated skin
I’ll have the dressing
That every feast needs
And my mirror is shiny dust
I must confess, it heals me
Around drug stores that
Seem to be better
Sanctuaries
Too much glass in my
Straw basket
No, don't help me!
In specks of my reflection
I still see myself
See myself perfectly

I wonder why you posted this one in miscellaneous and others in mild for critique.  I notice in one of the poems you bumped you were told to present meaningful critique in the forum before posting your own poems.  Now there seems to be several your asking for critique on, but haven't given the proper amount first.  Bumping in a critique forum is frowned upon, we can move it to another forum if you're through critiquing.  Sorry I'm consolidating all my thoughts here since yours seem all over the place.

I like the too much glass in my straw basket lines, fun to play around with.

Anyways, very few rules, best to follow them so you don't get banned or moderated, thanks for sharing

Thank you for giving me a heads up! I actually do not understand what "bumping" means, and I would love you to explain. Admittedly, I am not fully aware of the decorum of this forum, so I will value any advice you do give me, during future uploads.

Bumping refers to commenting on a thread to "bump" it to the top of the latest threads display that is located on the left side of the forum's homepage. So, this comment will now bump this thread to the top of that list, until someone else comments on this thread or another. It's generally poor etiquette to bump your own threads while not participating in others, and more frowned upon when that happens within a critique forum.
