That's not winter.
That's a nice summer's day for me at 57 and a half degrees north latitude

It is supposed to hit the 70's here this weekend.  Making me think I better start some bean seeds and maybe some pea seeds too

It says we'll hit 51 one day this week before it drops down to the the 30s again. Not seed time but beats zero.

The 1970's? Disco and flairs?
Let me convert... Ah right mid twenties. Yeah that's summer.

Nearly bought primroses today but am probably going to wait a couple of more weeks before I start buying plants again, worried about more snow yet.

The birds are looking for more food now. I sit outside for a bit in the morning, now that it's getting warmer, try to entice the robins to feed from my hand. They're getting much closer. However there are three of them and as soon as they see each other they fight usually in mid air like superheroes. Hopefully they'll chill out by spring.

Ooops. Perhaps it should be spelt that way.

Just trying to prove that I'm not a robot.

Well I didn't notice till you mentioned it so we're even. Still, that doesn't prove we're not robots. Been looking at a bit of ai recently, it takes a pebble of truth and makes a boulder of lies around it and presents it as truth. At some point we'll stop trusting it for flare/flair.
Rant over.
What time is it there? Want a cup of coffee?

Just gone 8pm here. My football (soccer) team won today 3-1 so I'm happy, we're into the next round of a cup competition, so it was a big game. Strange really how much it can shape your weekend but it just does.

Earl Grey tea for me please, watching the winter Olympics now

Now I am worried I should be concerned about flayers . . .

Watching/listening to someone who's livestreaming Brandi Carlile from Madison Square Garden through her "meta glasses", pretty decent sound and she's way up. This is when I love tech.

I am going to have to look into that.  i don't like things on my face, myself but I might be willing to suffer through it

The battery only lasted about an hour, phone live streams have lasted about 2, plus phones can zoom in but the glasses didn't end up in a pile of fries and ketchup, or go wonky when someone had an itch, very steady. I depend on the kindness of strangers. Smile

Newcastle was on a rough patch after those three-in-a-row losses, but prevailed against Villa 3-1. Then they throttled Qarabag in the Champions League game 6-1. Hope the Magpies beat City upcoming. Gunners still on top of the PL, for now.

Gotta tell ya though- Champions League is fantastic, and I hope you saw Club Brugge vs Atleti: fabulous 3-3 match!
World Cup is just around the corner now, too. Finally us fans in North America get to watch at decent times. Weirder times for you though.

Here in the DC area slogging through winter, but if monks can Walk For Peace 2,300 miles from TX to DC, in very challenging weather, I'll consider myself lucky.

Be well,
Mark

Hey Mark, good to know that you're still following the football (ooops soccer), it's been a tough season for us. Our striker ironically went on 'strike' so he could engineer a move to Liverpool and that left us scrambling to find replacements in a short amount of time. Too many games this season for us because we're in every bloody competition and playing every 3 days. What price glory?? The league has gone for us now, we'll be lucky to get top seven and get back into europe, but we're still in the FA cup and the Champions league. The champions league is excellent this year, the new format really works well and it's helped us out. If we get through the Qarabag tie, we got to play them at our place next week, then we go through to play Barcelona or Chelsea.
As you know we won our first trophy in over 70 years last year, so I'm not gonna complain too much this year.
Roll on the world cup, it should be a good one over there.

Hey, how's your weekend going? We're bracing for another big snow dump with Nor'easter winds. The mini poems are going to slide back from icy to piled up again. What are you all listening to lately?

It went by so fast that here I am at 2 AM front-loading for the day ahead

We're in "snow emergency" from sometime today until Tuesday, that's where they ask people to stay off the roads if possible and the majority of businesses stay closed. Keeps people safer and lets the plows and emergency vehicles get through. I enjoy not having to get ready for the week every Monday. Have a good one!

We are just a bit wet here, though colder. The chickens were in their JOY yesterday - it was almost 70 and they were running about and chomping and preening and chasing. A good day

It's getting quite spring like here into double figures celsius for the next few days. Was sitting out in the sun for a bit today. Very nice.

Hope the snow ends for you soon. Send me some, just drape it across the hills that I can see from my window, it'll be fine there.
