Indicative

The indica hits her different—

it’s indiscriminate
and too often
takes away
more hope
than hurt.

She’d hoped to sleep tonight.

i mean, maybe she would -- i suppose that's conditional -- were she more...er...subjunctive...

Hey Paul -
I get it indica/indicative.
I'd like to feel more of a sunny day to moonless night vibe, though: more showing.

Meant to comment on this when I saw it first. I think it could be trimmed like above and it loses nothing. The repetition of 'hope' and 'hoped' was a bit awkward. I like the play on words and the fact it's about weed.

Cheers for the read

As an ex weed dealer my primary customer base was girls wanting to sleep and not have nightmares. Bring sober and having issues with PTSD and nightmares now I miss smoking. I feel like this poem is like admittance of defeat and pain which is not your average weed poem
