Surprisingly no, I wasn't thinking of your poem, per se. Although it does seem to apply, especially as to how it was critiqued. With the exception of the "plug" I don't believe much else was mentioned about the content. The focus was completely on the form, but I just considered your poem more of a form practice piece anyway. No, what I was thinking about was some poems I had read recently that relied completely on the form to cover over the completely deficient content and lack of meaning. Tharmas has another along these lines and I will post it shortly in missile-anus if deemed worthy. I rarely let Tharmas write as he is such a pedantic and dull fellow. He does not write poetry, just these parable things (horrible things).

I am both sympathetic and unsympathetic to your position, Tharmas.

On the one hand, one of the reasons I don't care for vignettes is that they don't say anything.  on the other hand a poem that gets caught up in "saying something" is like a fart joke - never really worth reading twice.

who the fuck is tharmus. and yeah. i sometimes miss what the poem is saying or trying to say simply because i look into it and not at it [does that make sense] i do think the poet oft has a hand in how i look the poem. the last but one i gave feedback on was light hearted and while i gave proper feedback also related as to how i saw it.

If you quote what you are responding to if that post is mod or self-deleted your reply still makes sense. I knew someone who did it on every post so that if you looked just at his post list it was clear what he was talking about.

Seems love and happiness might be commodities the rich seem lacking in and that the poor, surprisingly have more of. Certainly money does not make one happy, in fact it often leads to the opposite.

1.  The poor have nothing.
2. The rich want.

It is irony.
