an illicit exothermic spark.
Then there is geometry.
One shape's relative position
to another, the point
of intersection.
Evolutionary biology being
an applied science comes
much later.

very clever and more so with each read, I like geometry it's very hard to grasp though and once the kids had grown up I just stopped using it. Keith

There is no science to it; it's science fiction gone awry!
Very amsuing Todd! Biology is actually a basic science. Applied sciences are those that have practical application or employ technological invention. In biology, this would be dentistry, internal medicine, pharmaceutics, clinical microbiology or virology. Similarly, physics is a basic science, while engineering is applied.

I love the geometry. Not to crazy about the final stanza. Seems to fall short.
