I want critical feedback even when I don't want to change anything. Because when I post something somewhere and it only gets a steady line of positive feedback, I feel I'm being lied to. And if I don't want to follow anyone's advice about changing something, it's because I want to live with my mistakes. It doesn't mean I don't take the feedback seriously or even disagree with it. And when someone gives me genuine compliments, I often don't know what to say. I could say "thanks". But I feel like "thanks" is not enough. I want to say more, and not leave it at "thanks". I don't take compliments well. Though, all the same, I do appreciate them. I appreciate them as much as negative feedback.

a simple thanks is always enough, it shows that you respect the fact they gave their time too you.
