Light and Dark (a Diamante)

Light
Effulgent, incandescent
Flashing, glowing, shining
Sunrise, flames…dusk, shadow
Dimming, dulling, obscuring
Gloomy, black
Dark

How would it look like this...

Light
Effulgent, incandescent
Flashing, glowing, shining
Sunrise, flames…dusk, shadow
Dimming, dulling, obscuring
Gloomy, black
Dark

...like that.

Couldn't help thinking it should be "darkness" rather than "dark" - odd how "light" can be noun, adjective, or verb (often with several meanings each) while "dark," strictly speaking, is mostly an adjective.  Shows a bias, perhaps, at least in modern English.

On another track, diamonds play with light despite their hard density.  And consequently also with dark[ness].  Wink

Thanks for fixing that, duke! And yes, it should be "darkness". Thanks for pointing that out about the diamond. Totally works on a metaphorical level!
