Anyways, 
I get to the gate
with my papers perfect
and not a whiff of contraband 
on my conscience,

I finally get a face-to-Face
and I am 
demanding to know
what happened to us

when you wake me.

Sounds like a divorce nightmare to me. Not that I have ever had one that I would admit to remembering.
