Yule Time Fun
#1
Twas the time of yule,
and Nick was jolly as a fish.
You wonder why his face  was red?
I’ll tell ya, he had the itch.

What caused that itch,
his woolen suit?
Or had he checked out
a new elf recruit?

Thanks for replying.

The subtle sheepish itch endured,
While nimble eleven toil worked flames.
He smashed his minty brew upon the ground,
And his cheek-stamped livery inflamed.

When Christmas day arrived,
he stumbled toward a salient bobber
 hanging from an evergreen.
He soon  lay sprawled out on the ground
with both a fishhook in his mouth,
and tinseled  leaves across his face.

When dawn blushed on the hoary ground,
He saw no trace of green but felt the bitter death of sugared things.
He plucked a plastic pine protruding from his side
And thought that this was all the green he knew.

I guess if we can take anything from this. We can ask if I used the word lay correctly.

Brownlie - Whether Santa was suffering from early infection or early withdrawal, I cracked up just thinking about it. Thanks for this yuletide gift today. Namyh
