Poem of the Weak
#1
My pen is heavier than the words that once flew from my flowing tip.
I flap about for metaphor
but may as well use semaphore
to manifest each witty quip.

I sleep now far more than I think. I used to multi-task the two
until the former overtook
(I once believed I'd write a book)
the latter as the weakness grew.

These days I barely have the strength to crumple up each wasted tome;
in reams old dreams lie everywhere
like cold collations. I despair
of writing even one more poem.

Ha, I love S1, get out of my brain. Hysterical

As for the rest, I refuse to despair. It is not a downhill slope, just a landscape of hills and valleys. The uphills may be a bit slower to travel, but the views from the crests are more appreciated.

Ah, J. Alfred, writing poems again I see. Well, take a rest and have a nice cup of tea and maybe the urge will dissipate.

Although maybe the problem's with your "flowing tip", I hear they have medicine for that. Does it not flow enough to get the job done, or has it become weak and difficult to hold onto. A shame, I know it is your favorite...

"I sleep now far more than I think." Suggestion: Get a more accurate assessment of how much you sleep..

"These days I barely have the strength to crumple up each wasted tome". Suggest recycling, it gives you something to feel good about, instead of cold collations and despair.

I know that the mermaids are out of reach, but that has been the case when you were still virile to now an old man who coughs as much as moves.

How long after picking up the brush, the first masterpiece?

The goal is not to obfuscate that which is clear, but make clear that which isn't.

"I sleep now far more than I think." Suggestion: Get a more accurate assessment of how much you sleep.. So you got the nuance? The duality? Of course you did!

Of course I like it, that goes without saying, which is why I didn't say it.

The only one you have. Surely you can get a replacement. They do it all the time, what's that procedure called? Oh yes, it's called "addadicktome". Smile
