Grousing Tom (for Tom)

Grousing Tom (for Tom)

Tom Tic Tock please stay away,
do not kill our Grouse today,
an endangered bird,
dropped like turds,
extinction is on it’s way.
Do not kill-kill-kill
our Greater Sage
Grouse today,
extinction is already on its way
—extinction is on its way.

DENVER (AP) —The federal government is considering listing the greater sage grouse as an endangered species next year.
Apart from the potential economic disruption, which some officials in Western states discuss in tones usually reserved for natural disasters, the specter of the bird's listing is reviving the centuries-old debates about local vs. federal control and whether to develop or conserve the region's vast expanses of land.
How long after picking up the brush, the first masterpiece?

The goal is not to obfuscate that which is clear, but make clear that which isn't.

Kill, Kill, Kill
don't anyone see
when everything is dead
where will we be

The answer lies
before your eyes.
If everything dies
we will not be
so cannot see.
What worries me
is if instead
I'm not quite dead
inside my head,
and still can see
there's only me
for eternity.
Fuck.

Tom,

To be stuck with ones own self and no one else for eternity, an apt definition of hell, as well as a grand last grouse. You know of course this poem refers to one of your latest endeavors?

Loretta,

Even those who grouse,
even those who kill,
find no evil
in their will. Smile
