We didn't know you when we made this thread so I doubt that is what we were thinking about.
Well, silly, I'm not vain enough to think the whole thread was about me! I was just reflecting on my personal use of white space. Although that whole Allusion Island argument confused me a bit.
This thread wasn't actually about white space, it was a red herring.

But are you paranoid enough?
That's what matters around here.

I think milo's explanation of allusion is one of the clearest and most succinct I've ever:
"If you mention Judas, you are /alluding/ to the stories (mostly biblical) about Judas, not Judas directly.
If you mentioned a sack of silver for a kiss on the lips you would be alluding to Judas."
Dale
How long after picking up the brush, the first masterpiece?
The goal is not to obfuscate that which is clear, but make clear that which isn't.

Thanks. It was after this thread that btrudo asked to be banned which is too bad. I was looking forward to him explaining alliteration to me(?!)

He was back in a few other personas, you know ones that argued for the sake of provocation.

As diverting as these moronic trolls may be, the real tragedy of this instance is that a member with a lot of promise (Eileen Greay) decided it wasn't worth the effort of putting up with this one.

Yes EG was and is a great loss. I hope she looks in occasionally and reads this.

Well, she did post after btrudo left the site and she was never terribly active so it is possible she is just busy and will return.

I don't recall her posting anything after her comments in this thread. I had an IM exchange with her concerning 'rudo's' faux-Socratic method of wearing folks down. Some people live off of getting in the last word.
It does look like she made a visit one month ago.

She had great titles, interesting poems, and interesting thought behind them.
