Hi Mark. This is a beautiful Autumn image. I love the transition of the glowing red leaves being extinguished by the night. I think it creates a lovely contrast.

I'm not sure if this is senryu or haiku - I lean towards your view because of the poem's metaphorical nature - but whatever it is, it's good, creating a really rich and vivid image, into which a thousand meanings or undertones can be read. Thank you for the read
