A nice feminine suit is always appropriate. I disagree with Mark that a dress is never too short - a wedding guest in a skin tight too short skirt is tacky, even if you're J-Lo.
Do you know how formal the wedding will be? That should be your first indicator between gown/cocktail dress. I will generally go with a paler shade of the brides colors if possible.
PS. If you can, try your hand at giving some of the others a bit of feedback. If you already have, thanks, can you do some more?

Thanks. I will now ban you for off topic posting ![]() Seriously though, good luck at the wedding. And forget what I said, make 'em forget the bride even exist

If the bride and groom are to be totally open to eachother, hiding nothing from eachother, and have no reason to hide their love for one another, why not have them wed naked? With guests in plain earth colored clothes, so as not to stand out and distract from the moment.

i could go for that as long as we can keep the pics

Best part of weddings is eating and drinking after, I would hate to lose my appetite.

I'm going to a wedding in September. I'm the MOH... and it's driving me crazy.
I'm wearing a sangria colored dress... but I've also always been a fan of deep purples and blues.
I'll be there in a minute.
