She and Time aren't on speaking terms
And you can tell by the lines on her face that stay buried beneath the same makeup her mother wears
They won't come out
Like a fifth-grader who's found the perfect hiding spot in a game of hide-and-seek
Her hair smells like Chapter 10 of To Kill A Mockingbird so I asked her why she doesn't wear a watch anymore
I think it was murdering her innocence

Are "They" "She and Time", or "the lines on her face"?

The second, right?

The lines, yes.

I need to go read chapter ten of that book, I forgot what goes on there.

If you don't want punctuation, that's all right.

The only thing I thought about for constructive criticism is taking "same" out of the second line. Just to see if it sounds better that way.
