rarely reaches ground

a song
sung moments before
reaches its way
10...
4...
but rarely
reaches ground

a song
sung
from the 23rd floor
washes out in waves of breath
before it reaches earth

their song
it sings itself it seems
it aches for ears
it reaches down

singing a song from the 23rd floor
a song with words so much like these
and listening as
they drop
they hit
unlike their song
reach ground
