Who do you miss?
Me, I miss Ray Heinrich... I'd do anything to get him back here, including bashing billy with a wet towel until he begged for mercy.
I'd also love to see Ca ne fait rien (Stef) and only rob back. I see that Rob kind of wandered through a bit ago... someone put a leash on that boy.

i can't stand ray though i would enjoy the wet towel stuff....actually i do like him (as far as i see him on the net) and i understand the anti side of things, he's always welcomed back if he decides he can stand a bit of red text
i miss dale, tecktak (though he's not been gone long and abu, it was good to see him posting in the how far thread. i miss the sewer rats having a workout as well. i wouldn't mind seeing steff again. i also liked ray.

i like their solid down to earth replies. sometimes i cringe at what they say but they were honest without having bad intent. i like tecktak's sense of humour and abu as it as well, i wonder if they're related?

Abu doesn't have any relatives, he's a pod person.
Or a prototype, I'm not sure which
and yes, i'd rather a few honest grumpy miserable bastards than a million backpatters with stock compliments

This was Jill's last post:
I've received a 'missing you' message, I realise that it is automatically generated but nevertheless...here I am. I hit a concrete wall, poetically speaking, around Christmas time and no longer consider myself a poet. However, here is an old rondelet of mine.
I can reach out to her. I think she was finding workshopping uncomfortable. When you go through persistent creative blocks it can also be frustrating. I'll see how she's doing.

Yeah I miss Dale
He was very helpful to me and always had massive amounts of corny jokes to pummel me with via email . . . those were the days.
I also miss grannyjill posting homespun rondelets in the wrong sections
I miss seeing cigarbabe creep through-
And what happened to Sid?
Oh and Abu I miss a little but he hasn't really left left . . . You old meany :p

We had that guy Lawrence for awhile. He wrote some good stuff then vanished. I wonder where he went...nature of the Internet I suppose.

Hey! I am not, and have not ever, been gone. In fact, I am less gone than many others. Perhaps I do not contribute as frequently as I might; perhaps I have a quick canter through anything interesting; perhaps I hold my peace. Perhaps, like General de Gaulle, I await 'L'Appel'. Perhaps I should leave, so as to revel in the pleas from the pit, for my return. You do not appreciate me, that's it. Milton understood. He and I also serve, while merely standing and waiting. Surprised about Dale --he'll be back, I think. Damn it I owe him a reply to a long thing he wrote, an IM.
Yep, Jill was a loss. P'raps, p't-etre and quizas, in addition to the work-shopping, there should be a simple show-case, identical in every way, to the other options, but without the expectation that there will be further alterations. If you finish a painting, and it gets accepted, you don't expect to paint over it-- though comments might make you do something differently next time around.
Is there a flounce emoticon?

ooh la la... de Gaulle of some people, what? I'm sure billy didn't mean that you were missing, Ed, just that you're old :p
A showcase is more or less available in Miscellaneous or For Fun -- in both fora there's an option to specify the kind of feedback you want.
