Hello to everyone here. My name is Igor and I am a fan of Fantasy novels, naturally that means Tolkien's works. His writings have inspired me and sort of pushed me in to creating my own world with its own set of characters and stories. I am writing a book, though it is at a small stand still after only 3 unfinished chapters and less that 40 pages. However in the mean time I am still writing some poems, some of which will likely be part of the book.

Now I will move on to some threads to share my newest little poem. See you soon!

Hi,

I just happened upon this post.  Artistic people can be sensitive and this post sounds emotional as if in response to a mean message or something.

I just looked at your post about learning meter and revizing an existing work by manipulating the meter while learning meter.

I suggest instead that you practice learning meter by writing some poems first.  And then when you are more skilled at it to tweak your piece.

Not sure why my post above looks so crazy. I don't think I did it.

Lol.  Once I did wonder if my mind blew up the font.  I was fuming and sent a message that was huge.

Hello everyone! I'm excited to be here. Im very passionate about poetry.
My favorite type of poetry is free form, though I still incorporate poetic devices. I cant wait to share my creative mind with others and improve my craft. I will be posting my poems soon. If anybody wants to be my friend send me a pm and we can trade poems and help each other out.

Hey all ^^! I am going through some things right now, to say the least. The reason I started writing poetry was to channel my plethora of feelings and emotions. I hope to get better!

Hey nice to meet you. I do the same thing with my poetry. I can feel the emotions as I write and sometimes it gets intense especially with the darker emotions. Id love to read some of your poetry. Feel free to pm me or add me as a friend if you can.

That's what our site is all about, helping each other out, but I don't recommend PMing poems that haven't been posted. When they are posted on the boards they are date stamped with your user name, marked as yours.

I also find one of the wonderful things about the site is getting input from all types of people at all different stages of their writing and their life. That's the way the site is designed to be used.
