Emptiness makes meals out of stomachs in this place;
and on the walls, old photographs
documenting dumb luck and madness
in equal measure.
Outside, a dead pigeon’s opened
like sunday service:
some flies have made a church of it.
Inside, I crawl under the bed
and begin to whet my harpoon.
-Next time I see that white whale,
he’ll be sorry.

damn, yes the end sounds like filler. i was trying to be too clever. and for a not too clever fellow [such as myself] that isn't advisable

it was all supposed to work within the concept of 'moby dick' and the 'null set' or empty set O = {x: x nie= x}
hey, do you think it would work without the last stanza?
to be honest, i just love the word 'harpoon', so...
I read this yesterday, and I liked it. No need for explanation, people make me explain too much. It's in "Fun", and I just like it.

Nothing satisfies the appetite like hunting down the unknowable.
Except maybe chocolate. But not white chocolate, that's unnatural.
It could be worse

god damn, I am going to get you some chocolate

it's a bit of a way, but I'll make it
rowens, fanks. i really like hearing your ideas, thought, etc. you have a unique take on stuff and that is always a joy [listen to 'joy' by mclusky, great song]
trueenigma, there is actually a dead pi[d]geon on my balcony!

yeah, it's in the for fun section, not getting part of it adds to the fun
i look on a null set as a pair of balls that don't produce those little swimmy things
