Where did it all go?
#1
Everybody is blank
Nameless
Faceless
Passionless

Where did it all go?
Everybody, so interchangeable
Nothing unique
Nothing abstract

No desire to construct new roads
Only to float along the ones already paved
No more revolutionists
No more broken boundries

Don't fear judgement
Don't fear change
Fear the only blockade
A doubtful mind

Lifeless faces crowd the streets
Blank personalities fill the minds
Jobs to pass the days
Nothing to change our ways

Prioritizing money and materials
Forgetting our true values
Letting the world shape us
Instead of our own found thoughts

Where did it all go?
When did it leave?
Impossible to know
Sad to say it's so

I read this, and am not sure what 'all' has been lost.

Perhaps more specific examples of people who have it, verses those that do not. As it stands, there's little here to tell me what is missing.

I like where you are going with this poem. I agree with Mikey though. What is "missing" could be more defined. I am by no means an expert in form; however, I feel as though you could make it flow a little better. So, more substance with a little more flow on top and it could be really good. Keep at it!

I'm with everyone else on elaborating your 'missing' ideas.

I like the idea that you're using in this, but I think a lot of your stanzas currently don't add to your idea much. Currently, past your first two stanzas, nothing much is added that you couldn't figure out for yourself.

So when doing your edit, don't lengthen it, but replace some of your current stanzas with explaining what the 'missing' is. Smile
