Amen Chris Kurtz

Our Father, Who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Here comes scar number eleven
Fully equipped, I'm taking aim.

Hail Mary, full of grace
Our Lord is with thee
My life is nothing but an arms race
Knives and pills, I'm the country.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty
Creator of Heaven and Earth
Say sorry to my mommy
To this incompetent boy she gave birth.

Glory be to the Father
And to the Son
And to the Holy Spirit
More like to the charter
And to the gun
And to the invisible appearance.

The priest told me to pray
Claiming God would listen
Well God replied with "K"
For he's guilty of omission.

The prayers don't work
And I'm starting to lose hope
But have no fear Christopher,
For we have a new Pope!

This is nothing new
Different man, same church
Force-fed lies he'll make me chew
I'll need to buy a larger shirt.

The Church is simply corrupt
Thus my mind refuses to heal
My apologies for being abrupt
But Jesus, I'm taking the wheel.

Truth be told that there is no recipe
In my search for eternal bliss
I must create my own destiny
For I will forever be Chris.

I think this poem could really benefit from keeping up the lords prayer throughout - you abandon it for no good reason after the first stanza.

But I can definitely feel your emotions are in this poem, and that is a good thing. Smile

I considered doing that, but I wanted to show that none of the prayers work. Plus, the Lord's Prayer doesn't flow right since the way it is written.
