i also had an idea of digging out desserts and making channels from the sea in order for them to fill up. (no idea where the sand would go )

I had a /good/ idea, years ago when hybrid cars were super expensive, gas prices were going through the roof and the car companies were struggling.

Hybrids work by recapturing kinetic energies through turning an electric motor and storing it in a battery as you slow down (most gas is converted to frictional heat through braking).

My idea was a pneumatic screw pump attached to the drive shaft that would store kinetic energy as pressure in carbon fiber tanks. The device weighed less than 1/4 of a hybrid system, had no toxic component (batteries) and cost around 20% of a current gen hybrid system. I sent the designs to GM but never received even an acknowledgement.
