She, an ice maiden.
Fire, her polar opposite.
An iceberg, melting.

I'm not sure what you're getting at with this poem. "An iceberg melting" doesn't flow well with the rest of it, I had to do haikus in fourth grade..it was trouble for me.

Hi
I like the progression of images and elements in this one.
Thought this was a good read but perhaps not the deepest in terms of giving me something to ponder over.
But I enjoyed it so this is what counts.

I agree with Claire, I think...she is an ice maiden, not an iceberg (which seems so very...huge!) The thought that comes to my mind is perhaps something like Chione melting...but I favor the classical symbolism....some variant of global warming instead?

Claire- oh well

Todd- thanks

cidermaid- appreciate your thoughts.

softlyfalling- I hear all that you're saying- oh who said size doesn't matter SmileWell I was trying more to convey how icy cold she was and the length of time it would one of such demeanor to melt. Thankyou for commenting Smile

Very, very nicely done. You have utilized the Haiku artform brilliantly - an iceburg melting says so much. Smile
