from the title, specially after the european horsemeat scandle, i'd have expected a poem with more vitriol. looking at the 1st line; sin't the food we eat 'our own' did we ever eat with other peoples hands?
make the poem show us something in a way that maks us sit up.

through my meat and potato pie

make it funny, make it foul but try to make the reader have a reaction

it's a good effort but you ned to work on it a little more
