Till Death
#1
Part us by, dear mother,
And the seas that washed our slaved feet,
We wash you clear with tears of bother
When now we haste a coward's retreat.

Buried our smiles in our heart
And our soul and mind, far apart,
We are but corpses that drift in a soulless fleet-
Lay hear worries in a shroud of deceit.

Part us by, dear mother,
And the land that held us firm,
We ditch you now for nether
For hopefully our sons shall return.

Even if heaven it is that awaits,
Will the freedom you grant ever come?
You pained yourself till death
And now we leave you numb.

Like your splendid rivers now we split,
But if you ever call we might return;
But now in a veil of tears we quit
And hope you strength to hold our urn.

Part us by, dear mother,
For we know not where we head;
We opened our eyes in your laps-
And yet we hold you dead.

We lost our music to your grief,
Our courage when we slipped off your arm,
And now our parting be but brief,
For we leave you in our trail of harm.

Part us by, dead mother,
We knew not how to save;
We ran and ran till the thresholds of death,
Hopefully we'll meet in your grave.
