so with our wage

This something that just came to my head, while I didn't sleepAngry
Probably won't do anything with it, but thought Id share it anyway.
Thanks for you time if you read itSmile

We buy stone from rock
Trying purchase blood
Laying heavy with iron
We swallow swords
Then lay with rats
And preach their laws
So drink from sullied waters
So with our wage
We trade wind for dreams
In hope to buy longer life
Against a gale we barter sand
And merely rent a slower death

We trade wind for dreams <---great line!

A short poem with a lot to offer, it has conviction with some good thoughts. I'm glad you did share it.
