Releasing the Dream

[Rose Love]

I just returned from southern France, where I wrote a small note, copied my most recent poem (below) onto it, put it in a bottle and threw it out into the Mediterranean Sea. I released my life-long dream--literally. Maybe someone will find it...? I set my dream free and its fate now lies in the wind, the sea and the sun, which will guide it to another world where I am living it fully.

Releasing the Dream
Release the dove
Conjugial Love
has no business here

Let her fly
free and cry
"I've reached beyond my greatest fear!

And there I found
too tightly bound
the folk of earthly mind

So off I go
to soar and flow
where heart and soul unwind."

Her love took wing
so her heart could sing
and carry her on a stream

To a sacred embrace
where love still has grace
and Conjugial Love is the dream.

And in her flight
she shone her light
and caught her lover's I

He took her to perch
and they ended their search
and now side-by-side they lie <3

Your poem is both beautiful a sad...and yet again there is a core of strength of character which runs throughout.

Actually, the very last line bothers me. This isn't in the critique section, but, still, if anyone has a better suggestion to rhyme with "I" that will fit well in the context, it would be great.
