I want to read a Nathaniel Hawthorne book to brush up on my classics. Do I do Nathaniel Hawthorne The Scarlet Letter or Nathaniel Hawthorne The House of Seven Gables. If anyone has input, that'd be great. Thank you!

I would read the house of seven gables because Hawthorne preffered it and so do I, and lets face it he should know, however just about everbody else would disagree so read em both and post your thoughts then you will have truly brushed up.
