A Diamond Jubilee Poem
#1
The Jubilee has come and gone,
leaving in its fettered wake
the gaudy hearts of monarchists.
"Mummy" said a little girl
being led to watch the boats,
"what does our Queen do?"
"She waves" mummy answered,
cupping one hand and turning her wrist
from side to side.
