To Be A Poet

I dream to be a poet,
To dance a tango of rhythm and rhyme,
Battle illusion, to conquer, to really shine,
To master a language not easily understood by those of basic mind,
Live a dull life no not I,
I dream to be a poet.

I dream to touch heart and mind,
The soul with words divine,
With stories of beautiful dimes,
See with hearts like mine,
There is nothing else but to be a poet.

Riddles and rhymes,
Stanzas and lines,
An impenetrable safe,
I'm happy to forever battle.

With words there are no wars,
From reality to fantasy lore,
Here with paper and pen,
Here there is no end; limitless possibility.

Write because no one listens,
Change; Our hearts in remission,
I want to save the world,
By the art of the poet.

I'm close outside the door,
Crumpled revisions lay on the floor,
I know I can say until I die,
I dream to be a poet.

These words, I feel so free,
Making happiness of rhyming scheme,
Simile coded prose and formal things,
I feel the rise of kings and queens,
Until the end of time I dream,
I dream a dream,
A dream to be a poet.

think thers maybe a couple of cliche lines in here (billy's gonna totally smack you ass for them) but i dont care i really liked this
seems to me the best poets thers ever been share a common theme

I enjoyed these rhyms but I would have really enjoyed seeing some reference to Twisted's......... egotistical,self righteous,selfish,miserable,laudenum/opium addicted,cantakerous farts. would have given it some buzz.
