Meanwhile 5,000 birds and nearly 900 dolphins were found dead off the coast of Peru. The animals apparently died of starvation, not sickness, and the suspected culprit is the rising water temperature. Holy crap.

when climate change hit the news originally it was like wow.
now stuff like the above have little wow factor.
when it hits us proper will we as a race be able to cope in such a way that
it won't be like post cataclysmic event. or will it not hit us but creep gradually
up on us in a way we can deal with, a bit at a time. while we may not have to
contend with war destroying the planet (the world destruction thread) it could be
it won't make any difference.
