When Mr. Michaels came downstairs
he found his missus on her knees
worshipping a can of paint.
"Darling!" said he,
"have you gone mad?"
"Why no!" said she,
"it's just that Jane from down the road
worships a wooden cross each day.
Paint is more useful than toys, so I thought:
why not send my praises to
an object which has helped me through?
This humble can of eggshell white
has made our lounge a lovely sight!"
