The Icarus Problem
#1
(moved from Serious Critique)

Icarus didn't listen to Dad
About the use of the wings that he had
Typical teenager, he knew it all
But, here's the cliche, it's pride before fall
So up to the sun he went, hell for feather
And melted the wax that had held things together
Icarus found the view quite panoramic
But soon learned his arms were not aerodynamic
So this young smart arse wound up in the sea
Forevermore featured in bad poetry
It could be worse

She's not a fan
of any arrogant man,
but even less so
of the story retold,
as though he had
done something bold!
How long after picking up the brush, the first masterpiece?

The goal is not to obfuscate that which is clear, but make clear that which isn't.
