the dog farts loudly
at the bottom of the bed-

Senryu!

LMFAO

Is 'cosy' like the British spelling of 'cozy'?
PS. If you can, try your hand at giving some of the others a bit of feedback. If you already have, thanks, can you do some more?

yes on cosy, and no on senryu.
it has all the haiku elements.
warm is the seasonal word.
and everything else is fact.
the dog does fart, and my tootsies are warm

Brilliantly one. I came in ready to question your "cosy" spelling as well just for the sake of poking at the British spelling for fun and had a good laugh at the dry British humour instead as it wasn't what I expected! Then again, I didn't really expect you to be writing about your favourite tea cosy either... Or have you mess up something as simple as a haiku.

Did you "dutch oven" your dog or just go with it cheap heat...?
Do you realise that memories are like a bag of wooden nickels... Or a field full of men on wooden legs in a flash flood... useless ~ D.A.

the japanes also had a british sense of humour, but they were funnier;

Fleas, lice by Matsuo Basho

Fleas, lice,
a horse peeing
near my pillow.

note the syl count

It's funny yet also touching, in a weird way. (Nothing spells intimacy like farting in bed) Smile

Ah, but the Basho poem is simply a pastoral and not meant as humor!

funny pearl harbor
a blast was hiroshima
midway a riot
See Billy, you need that tongue in cheek emoticon
How long after picking up the brush, the first masterpiece?

The goal is not to obfuscate that which is clear, but make clear that which isn't.
