A crumpled library receipt.
I unfold it like a white flower,
the corpse of which adorns my path.
Apparently a patron here
returned a book called "Nobody move".
Leaving it open, a troll's treasure map,
on the book I borrowed yesterday,
I wait for the public computer to start.

"We believe that we invent symbols. The truth is that they invent us; we are their creatures, shaped by their hard, defining edges." - Gene Wolfe
