"Daily crucifixion."
#1
Morning. Coffee. Cigarette.
Thoughts, icy thorns,
Plaited in a wreath ...
Words, barbed wire,
Twisted together in a whip ...
I meditate.
Ten calm minutes before
A "Daily crucifixion" starts.
This friendly world.
It awaits me.

for me, your poem has lots of insights RY.
mostly it shows how on a daily basis we prepare
to face the world. and how gruesome an act it is
as we gird our loins thru the morning ritual.

thanks for the read.

Hi, Billy!
You are quite right!
Morning - is a ritual, routine ... We all dream for something outstanding, unusual but our experience,
alas, brings us down. Life is life. But Hope is Hope!
Thanks, R.Y.
