'mandarins nod off' may be more apropos. Cool poem billy! That sleepy giant is always napping, but we are thankful for their invention of gun powder, noodles and one from column A...

Shouldn't that be "western" fireworks aimed at crescent moon, as it seems as though it is the US who is doing the aiming?
I do like "mandarins plot". A very succinct image. Dale
