Young, breathless children
adorned with gun-powder
burns.

This perceived civil war
where limits were endless
and widows were made.

We still wear sackcloth
and grovel though.

Adam in the cool of the night.
Here, it's never been colder."

Note: the whole bit where little quotes in the beginning and little quotes in the end are put in some of my poems is just a little thing that only I, as far as I know, do. For me it works.

Oh, civil war! I read it as "civil war" (like the war within a country) *is stupid*
