They even transplanted nerves and muscles under the skin, giving him back sensation on his face. He's also able to grow facial hair from the transplanted skin. Amazing, amazing stuff.

utterly fantastic.

they'll probably do a bit more work on him such as sorting his jaw out but yeah, that we as a race can do such stuff instead of simply killing people in wars rocks big time.

That's absolutely amazing and who knows with medical advancements maybe someday he'll see again too.

i agree, i don't think it will be too long before we see electronic eye implants that tap directly into the brain in order to give people their sight back. i'm sure they're already working on it.
