how come they look so cute?
apart from the fact a little baby lamb has little meat on it; why
would we not eat one. the same goes for most animals, people take baby alligators into there homes only to be devoured when the cute ickle thinks grows big and ugly
Babies are the same, people adore them but wtf would have a teenager?

It's a biological thing, from what i understand. The features we find in babies of almost all species, those "cute" features like the smallness and the set of the eyes and the button nose etc., it triggers a protective instinct in adults. It's part of an adaptation that ensures that babies are taken care of by its parents. But since baby animals share similar features, we find them adorable as well

Well, male lions also have an instinct to mate with females and eliminate competition, so they can overcome their so-called "protective instinct" quite easily.

okay, how about Tibetans dipping their new born child under a freezing stream, the idea being if he survives he's fit to live and if he dies, he would have probably died anyway.
and the fact is only the parents or those related think new bornes are cute, in truth for a short period they're ugly little prune faced shit factories.
