The rebel

There are times
when I want to bite you
like a dog. They think I’m mad
just because
I want to bite you. Not just you though:
I’d like to bite most things.

I’ll answer someday for my crimes,
till then there’s kung fu
on a log or with the lads,
and thanks to laws
protecting free speech, however low,
I’ll smile and post things.

The right will call me smart.
The left will bitch and whine.
And some educated tart
call me a rabid canine.
Let them. I have art
and my father had a mine.

This one is a gem.  The final stanza, switching to rhyme, simultaneously expresses, "I'm not like that, really" and "No, I am, but I'm rich so I get away with it."  Admirable project and execution.
