Cats Life
Dust floating stagnant in the air.
Between sunlight's pattern poking
through the shutter that
hasn't moved in two years.
Vermilion rays echoing the sunset
move closer to my eyes. The glare
a reminder of a day passing.
I stretch and yawn, disturbing
the tranquil timbre of traffic
and people outside.
Waiting for the door to open,
and my human to arrive.
Only one thing is impossible for God: To find any sense in any copyright law on the planet.

Hi, Bunx, thanks for posting this, I’ve been enjoying it. I’ve got 3 that run to the door like puppies and one that hangs back until she’s sure it’s us. Wouldn’t want to live on a catless house.

Thanks Ella-
I was debating putting this in the practice forum. I honestly have been struggling for inspiration lately and started writing just to see where it'd take me. When all else fails write about cats haha

lol, that’s my motto. But I’ve been falling back on it so often I sometimes hear a collective groan as I hit post. But personally I love reading them when someone else does the writing.
