birthday hat origin

As children, we play sensually-wise with
environment, oceanic understanding;
we get older and Urizen takes over,
a great imbalance in sense.

All sharp shards of danger
and spectral bogeys
never align to shadow
mamas, without the great
Father Pattern, lost
in his monocle.

But gypsies and hobos,
tipsy oblivion,
wandering outside
city camera lights,
have more
than elbow space
to sit on thrones
or anthills.

The Real Man, Imagination
walks waters of the
abyss. . . . Skipping stones
the very drops.

I'm a king in the sense
of not needing a throne . . .
Walking, Dreaming and Sleeping's
enough.

Late to the (birthday) party but recent enough to be okay to bump, I think, so much I like here.

When I watch Silent Movies, I like to watch them on mute.

What gets me is: that I have to put them on mute in the first place.

Well, they were made so the music would add drama and clues, you've got to watch closer without it.

If I watch it any closer, I'll be on the other side of it. It's got Thelema Todd in it. She was a mob boss's girl. That's good and all, but I'd settle for my neighbor's girl.
I already live on the other side of her.

When I hear or read the line "Urizen takes over", I hear Andrew Clay saying, " ...and then Rover took over!"

Urizen took me on an interesting trip but didn't run into Clay or Rover.  Smile

Well, I could have lived my whole life happily without watching that clip.

A Jewish man performing as though he's Italian.

It's as though Marilyn Manson had seen Alice Cooper in a smalltown dive of a vaudeville show, and figured no-one would know there was any difference.

hey rowens - cool beans, this one, though S.4 & S.5 seem like part of another poem, to me.
Very interesting images in 1,2, & 3. Doesn't matter that Urizen didn't ring a bell under my birthday hat. Until I looked it up... and than it makes sense enough.
