Countlessly

On days when you can’t satisfy your soul
by counting blessings, countless as they are,
of sleeping indoors, living without war,
with laws enforced (if not quite as you wish),
you always can work up a handy mad-on
about how other people deal with crime
and militant invaders - oh, too rough! –
and gripe in poetry, though not in rhyme.

Hi Duke
A handy mad-on is a new expression for me although I fully understand the direction,
I like the use of rhyme negating the statement with its partner in crime.
counting blessings seem a bit obvious but its saved by what follows.
The content is something we can all be invested in some more than others.
All the same I enjoyed the gripe. Best Keith

If your undies fer you've been smoking through em, don't peg em out
