Grey Area

If the universe
had feelings before it all
was light a mistake?

Blackholes expose us.
Silence swallows mysteries
of abandoned hopes.

When a star goes out
space between foreign suns
mourn the horizon.

Things that could have been
will make assholes of us all.
Laying down stars fall.
Only one thing is impossible for God: To find any sense in any copyright law on the planet.

In this one I can understand the first stanza. It's a question that one can ask, but then after that I don't understand what they're saying you know like you know -

when a space between foreign Suns mourn the Horizon

I don't know what that is - and I don't know how

things that could have been will make assholes of us all

at all you know or why why the next line rhymes with it or what it's saying. So that's my sense of this one - I don't know what you're saying.

It's a metaphor.
Only one thing is impossible for God: To find any sense in any copyright law on the planet.

Well is any of it after the first stanza intended to be intelligible? I mean the first stanza is intelligible, but then to me the rest isn't. Is the rest of it intended to be intelligible?

If you catch the metaphor / symbolism of the poem within the nature of life, death, regrets, permanence, and acceptance. I get that this poem is pretty far out there, but it makes sense to me.
