Miss Moment

Miss Moment

No dire abstraction
folds her
in no particular
measure.
She being true,
and ignorant,
to my feelings,
why hold

her away or pull
her to some
unlikely embrace too soon?

I wait,
and the life she lives
is not the living tender self
when I arrive,
she is new each time.

And so
with all worries in life:
There are none.

Whether others' notch
or her own, rings
and trips around every world
and drug;

she is all there is to it.
As they all are.

I love the lack of explicit sadness, or even resignation in this one. And the beauty, of course, but for me those absences shine.

A Mistress is a Female Master.

Ms. isn't quite Married or Single. Moment isn't quite a minute. Each can be.

Negative Continuity Capability

Non sequitur.

Hence, It doesn't Follow

In this one you get all excited because it is going to be about 'Miss Moment'. I mean Miss Moment is somehow missing and that is like Ian Toomer saying 'No dice' at school when I was a boy.

To miss her is to get her.
