A Good Buzz

It’s the lazy hum 
of the summer grasshoppers,
gently crafting a world 
where all that is joyous
lies within your grasp—
if only you remain there, 
to absorb that euphoric,
purring symphony
indefinitely. 
 
So you attempt to cage them
and their harmonious offerings,
one by one,
until the whimsical buzz,
erupts into disjointed,
frenzied chaos.
