Good day (or night I don't discriminate) fellow poets,

I'm the poetry zealot and (as my username suggests) I love poetry. I unfortunately had to take a short break (euphemism) from writing poetry because god bless the IB, but ironically, right before finals I got back into writing. Only, now that I'm back, I've realized... I've lost all my former wit and technique! I mostly write free verse (although I'm prone to writing in different formats to prove a point) though I'm trying to write more structured poems now.

My writing schedule is as consistent as Elon Musk (all talk no action) and it usually takes me months to write my first draft. Regardless, I'm droning now so let's finish. I joined this site not only to further my own poems but also read and give feedback on other people's poems. Looking forward to working with you all!

Sincerely
the zealot of poetry

Welcome, awesome, the poetry practice exercises section is good for brain training, forcing yourself to write outside your comfort zone. The national poetry month prompts are also a nice way to get the ideas down.
