Final Straw

Final Straw

When all is lost
realities in shambles
gambles come and gone
a cons terrible rerun.

Hindsight is blindness
to the mundane
which keeps workers grinding
and typicals sane.

Environmental friction
comes in many mediums
monitors, papers, politicians in places
shouting lies to knowing faces.

Growing numbers come out
regulars lose and shout.
Telling the King I'm significant too
begging for change.

Living here is like a truth
worse than fiction
packages up as patriotism
death by devotion sold by religion.

If tears were taxed to the richest
the well of debt indefinite.
Acknowledged from the silent
majority who didn't vote.

Rubble there, tyrants here, a world
watching is dismay.
Who drew the short straw?
Or did we find our last?
Only one thing is impossible for God: To find any sense in any copyright law on the planet.
